Whether it's your first baby or your fifth, you want to give your baby the best chance for a healthy start in life. That's why we've developed Future Moms, a maternity wellness program that helps mothers-to-be have happier and healthier pregnancies.

A Healthy Pregnancy Starts with You
One in every five women has some form of medical complication during pregnancy. Thankfully, most factors that can complicate a pregnancy or lead to pre-term birth are preventable or treatable if detected early. That's why starting a program of prenatal care during those critical first weeks is so important. It will improve your chances of having a healthy, full-term baby.

How the Future Moms Program Works
If you're pregnant, make an appointment with your health care provider right away, then, register for the Future Moms program. Shortly after you've registered, you'll participate in a brief, confidential phone interview. You will be asked questions about your personal medical history, including your eating habits and other factors that could affect your pregnancy.
If any potential health risks are identified in the interview, a Future Moms nurse will work with you and the health care providers directly involved in your care. Through the interviews and educational materials you’ll receive, we help you take an active role in identifying and minimizing your health risks – an important way to complement your health care provider’s care.

Advantages of Future Moms:
Confidential pregnancy health assessment. This assessment will help identify any complications that could affect your pregnancy. If potential concerns are identified, a Future Moms nurse will work with you and your health care provider throughout your pregnancy to reduce risks. Future Moms participants are reassessed at mid-pregnancy to help address further complications that may have developed.
Educational Materials. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive a free copy of the illustrated book, Your Pregnancy Week by Week. Each week you’ll learn about your baby’s growth and development as well as the changes occurring in your body. The book includes tips on healthful eating during pregnancy, information about medication and exercise – plus weekly tips for Dad. You’ll also receive educational materials to help you to identify premature labor and know what to do about it.
Nurse Helpline. As a Future Moms participant, you will have round-the-clock access to experienced maternity care nurses throughout your pregnancy. Day or night, whatever your questions or concerns, you can call the Future Moms phone line toll free.
